Water treatment processes generally produce aqueous sludge of different properties. Sludge dehydration equipment is mainly used to reduce the moisture contained in sludge, reduce the moisture content, and reduce the volume of sludge, which facilitates subsequent treatment or disposal of sludge. Sludge dehydration equipment can generally be divided into belt dehydrators, centrifugal dehydrators, plate and frame filter presses and stacked snail sludge dehydrators. At present, belt dehydrators are widely used in sludge dehydration in China, but they have problems such as large water consumption and high operating requirements. The stacked snail sludge dehydrator is a new type of sludge dehydration equipment. With its advantages of energy saving, stability and high degree of automation, it is rapidly being recognized and accepted by the market.

 

Working principle

 

The Multi disc screw press uses the screw extrusion principle to realize the extrusion and dehydration of sludge through the strong extrusion force generated by changes in screw diameter and pitch, as well as the tiny gap between the moving ring and the fixed ring. A new type of solid-liquid separation equipment.

The main body of the Multi disc screw press is composed of multiple fixed rings and moving rings, and the spiral shaft runs through it to form a filtering device. The front section is the concentration section, and the back section is the dehydration section. The concentration and pressing and dewatering of sludge are completed in one cylinder. The traditional filter cloth and centrifugal filtration methods are replaced by a special filter body mode.

After the sludge is concentrated by gravity in the concentration section, it is transported to the dehydration section. During the advancement process, as the filter seams and pitch gradually become smaller, and under the blocking action of the back pressure plate, great pressure is generated, and the volume continues to shrink, reaching Full dehydration purpose.
